Collaboration with 44west

The team of four Swiss rowers at 44west are taking part in the Worlds Toughest Row across the Atlantic to raise money to rebuild coral reefs. The race takes participants over 4,800 km from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean.

With enough tailwind and support from the mainland, the team hopes to beat the world record of 29 days,14 hours and 34 minutes. It goes without saying, the rrreefs crew will be cheering them on from Zurich, every stroke of the way.

44west are competing with the slogan “We row for biodiversity” and have chosen to collaborate with rrreefs and donate part of their proceeds to build a new reef in the Caribbean.

To mark this new collaboration, we celebrated with 44west at their boat naming ceremony this weekend. The guests were given the opportunity to adopt a brick that will form part of the 44west reef. If you’d like to do the same, adopt a brick here.
