Exhibition Indice Ultraviolet: Décalage vers le rouge

In June 2020, all the bricks –  later deployed in our first ever underwater installation in Colombia – were exhibited in the Art Center of Neuchâtel, for the group show Indice Ultraviolet: décalage vers le rouge.

A progessive work

During the whole period of the exhibition, visitors could experience various building displays. The departure of our bricks to Colombia coincided with the final week of the show. The process of packing the pieces, and shipping the reef bricks were part of the artwork process, pondering in time, different community actions. Visitors could participate in these steps and witness the evolution of the piece, slowly being reduced to eight wooden crates. On the 19th of July, 228 bricks left the CAN, letting 40 elements in the space, the zurich test reef and its video.

For this project, we included experimental bricks made by students of the ceramic class of the SFG BB (Schule für Gestaltung Bern/Biel).
